2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the current pre-launch website at siseau.com and to the mailing-list sign-up form displayed on it. The current website does not take orders or payments.
3. Information we collect
Email sign-up information. When you join The First Edit, we collect the email address you enter, together with information needed to manage your subscription, such as the date and time of sign-up, consent status and unsubscribe status.
Technical information. When you visit the site or use the embedded sign-up form, our website and service providers may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, date and time of access, and security or diagnostic logs.
Correspondence. If you contact us, we collect the information you include in your message and any information needed to respond.
We do not ask you to provide special-category information through the holding page, and we do not intentionally collect personal information about children.

4. How and why we use your information
News and launch updates. We use your email address to send Siseau news and launch updates when you have given consent. Our lawful basis is consent.
Managing the mailing list. We use subscription, consent and unsubscribe records to administer the list and demonstrate that we are respecting your choices. Depending on the activity, our lawful bases are compliance with our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in keeping accurate records.
Operating and protecting the website. We use technical information to provide, secure, maintain and troubleshoot the website and embedded form. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe and reliable website.
Responding to you. We use information in messages to answer enquiries and take steps you request. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us and, where relevant, taking steps before entering into a contract.
5. Email marketing and your choices
We send marketing emails only where we have an appropriate lawful basis. For The First Edit sign-up, that basis is your consent. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@siseau.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
6. Who receives your information
We use trusted suppliers to provide parts of the website and mailing-list service. These currently include IONOS for website hosting and operation, and Mailchimp (an Intuit service) for the embedded sign-up form, mailing-list management and delivery of marketing emails. They process personal information for us under their applicable terms and data-protection arrangements.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
7. International transfers
Some suppliers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where UK law requires it, we rely on an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards and related protective measures. 8. How long we keep information
Mailing-list information is generally kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may retain limited information on a suppression list for as long as necessary to ensure that we respect your choice and meet our legal obligations.
Technical logs are kept for the periods reasonably required by us and our providers for security, troubleshooting and service operation. Correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any related legal or business requirements.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
The website and embedded Mailchimp form may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for operation, security and form functionality. Siseau does not currently use the holding page for behavioural advertising or intentionally deploy non-essential analytics cookies. If non-essential cookies or comparable technologies are added, we will update this policy and provide any consent choices required by law before using them.
10. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to object to particular uses of your information.

We do not use the information collected through the holding page to make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
